Dr. Blanco received his doctorate degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. At graduation he received the Gold Key Award for outstanding scholarship, leadership, and professionalism. He was also the recipient of the Richard Fienbloom Low Vision award. He became a clinical associate at the College for two years after graduation.

He established his first private practice in Spring Valley Illinois and later open practices in Ottawa and Morris.
He holds a patent for a magnifier that will illuminate printed material or other small objects when at the proper working distance for the person using it.
He published the Macular Degeneration Survival Course which was an audiobook that provided information regarding macular degeneration and the use of low vision aids to maximize vision. It was sold by L&S Corporation for over 10 years throughout the United States.
Dr. Blanco became a Diplomat of the American Academy of Optometry when it became the recognized board certification program by the American Optometric Association. He was in the first ever graduating class in 2011 along with 214 other optometrists.
Dr. Blanco lives in Oglesby Illinois with his wife Susan. He has two children. Nicole is a high school English teacher at Hinsdale South high school. She is married and has blessed their family with two wonderful granddaughters. Ryan is married and a physician hospitalist at Illinois Masonic Hospital in Chicago. He has blessed their family with two wonderful grandsons.
When not working he enjoys the outdoors and time spent with his wife Susan and their golden retriever Amigo, his fifth golden retriever.

Dr. Ryan Kays has been dedicated to providing exceptional eye care since 2006. Soon after completing his optometric education, he joined Dr. Blanco in Morris, where he quickly became a partner and played a pivotal role in opening our Spring Valley location in January of 2012.
Born and raised in Magnolia, Dr. Kays has deep roots in the community. He attended Putnam County High School before pursuing his Biological Science degree from Illinois Valley Community College and Illinois State University. He then went on to graduate from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL.
Dr. Kays is dedicated to providing personalized and comprehensive eye care to his patients. In Morris, you can find him seeing patients on Mondays, Thursdays, and one Saturday a month. In the Spring Valley location, he sees patients on Tuesdays, every other Friday, and one Saturday a month. With his commitment to excellence, Dr. Kays strives to make every patient experience comfortable and rewarding.
When he's not in the office, Dr. Kays spends time with his wife and two children. He enjoys fishing, hunting and spending quality time outdoors with his family.

Dr. Corgiat continued on staff at the Chicago Lighthouse from 2006 to 2017.
Dr. Corgiat was drawn to low vision when she saw her grandfather struggling to live with macular degeneration. During her time working with low vision patients she was able to provide many with magnifiers, telescopes and tools for living with low vision. Dr. Corgiat has had experience assisting patients with a variety of eye conditions.
Dr. Corgiat is a native of Oglesby, Illinois and she has been interested in the care of eyes since a very young age. She is a graduate of LaSalle Peru High School. She attended Illinois Valley Community College to earn her Associates in Science and Illinois State University to earn her Bachelors in Science. Upon graduating from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2005, she was presented with the Eschenbach Award. In 2017, Dr. Corgiat became an associate alongside Dr. Blanco and Dr. Kays in their Morris location. Soon after, she became a partner and thus the new practice name of Blanco Kays Corgiat Eyecare, which has been providing the area with affordable high quality eye care for many years. Dr. Corgiat is excited to be seeing patients in the area where she grew up. She enjoys collaborating with people of all ages and working toward an appropriate plan for eye wear and eye care.
